Powercell Charities
The Powercell Family Fun Day, held in June 2010, was a great success and raised a magnificent £7,453 for The Sick Children's Trust (The SCT). These funds will be put to very good use helping us to run our seven 'Homes from Home' across the UK. Our accommodation is free of charge to families however it costs The SCT approximately £26 to keep one family bedroom open per night. The average family stay is currently at around 12 nights therefore the £7,453 so generously donated by everyone involved with the Powercell Family Fun Day will keep one family bedroom open for a massive 9.5 months. This will help at least 25 families stay close to their sick child's bedside.
The SCT do not receive any governmental or statutory funding and rely solely on the generous donations from Companies, Trusts and Individuals. On behalf of all the children and families we help, we would like to thank everyone involved with the Powercell Family Fun Day for their fantastic support.

The Sick Children’s Trust have a belief that no child should be separated from their family while in hospital receiving treatment for serious illness. Their view is that family love and support is the most basic of medicines
Their mission is to provide high quality 'Home from Home' accommodation for families whose children are receiving hospital treatment for serious illness.
£750 was raised at the BITA ball in the past.
